You know I am praying all your blood work will be perfectly normal Chrissy! :) I actually expected my Honey's to be a lot worse than it turned out to be.

Every day for the past week our former Landord who now is just our next door neighbor has been frying catfish and bringing a plate of this for us to eat. I can't eat fried foods anymore so my Honey is "pigging out" on it. :)

Today I made our supper, which is cream of vegetable soup, and used the Vitamix to make the soup. I actually cooked it in the Ninja Cooking System first, and then put some of the vegetables in the Vitamix and let them cool down enough to blend them.
I added a bit of instant mashed potatoes to thicken the broth, cubed up the last of the ham which had been cooking in with the vegetables, and added the blended veggie broth from the vitamix.
It almost tastes like a really rich clam chowder, except of course, there is no clams; but I can see this being a great way to make creamy vegetable soups.

I make creamy soups by blending some of the veggies, I've always thickened soups that way.

I know, I know... It's not healthy at all, but I simply thought it would be a kind of reward after a long day at work. So, the answer is... cheese lasagne. Now I guess I 'll have (need) some herbal tea.

Actually, tea does sound good. I am thinking about making a cup of Teeccino herbal coffee, maybe even an iced cup instead of hot tea tonight, since it has warmed back up here again.
I just got some of the almond/dandelion herbal coffee, and it comes in regular teabags, and is SO delicious !

I checked my free reward points on Papa John's website yesterday and was pleasantly surprised to see I had more than enough for a free large pizza. In the past the free pizza's could be only large two or three topping ones but now Papa John gives you 10 bonus points for your birthday and you can choose to use your points for different things on their menu now, including a free specialty pizza. Since I had enough points for that, I chose the Spinach Alfredo sauce one with chicken, canadian bacon, and onions (I switched the onions for mushrooms) and it was delicious. And we have enough for encores today too. :)

Wish I could have some pizza...:( I saw an Ayurvedic doctor last week, and since Monday I have been on a Detox plan. Had pumpkin cream and broccoli for dinner today, and I have been a good girl so far, as the treatment is kind of different: no animal protein, and lots of fruit and vegetables... However, what I miss the most is my black coffee, bread and cheese. Although I had been making my whole wheat bread, he doesn't allow me to eat wheat flour - at least for awhile. I can eat polenta, 'tapioca' ( Google would help you about its meaning), and corn flakes - with no sugar. At the end of the first day I had chills, a migraine, and nausea. I thought I'd have a stroke, couldn't move. I felt as if I were in a drug rehab, and thought about the films I saw where people throw up and shake. At 4 am I woke up and remembered I had gone to bed without the hot-foot bath recommended. Well, I decided to do it, and after 20 minutes, I had no more headache. My treatment will take 35 days, but strangely, I feel better already. After that I've been reading more about the hot- foot bath benefits, and I had no idea on them, though there are people who can't do it. Anyway, wish me good luck. Maybe tomorrow I 'll post something about my dreams...Babs' pizza

I feel for you @Clare Smith :( Over the years with my IBS and GERD I have had to change how and what I eat so that I have less trouble with these issues. Now I pretty much know what will trigger bad episodes for me so I stay away from those things and since I have been doing this for long it is a normal part of my life now and doesn't bother me anymore. I hope whatever you're trying to make better by following this detox does help you get better real soon.

That is great that you are doing the detox, @Clare Smith , and you should start feeling much better before too long. The reason that you are not feeling good at first is because of all of the toxins that are now coming out of your body, and they poison you as they come out. Once they are gone, then you should feel much better again, andbetter than you felt before you started.
I think that the reason most people do not do any kind of a detox is because when they start, they feel sick, and they blame it on the detox food and not the actual poisons.
This is what happened with my friend @Ina I. Wonder when she started drinking kefir. It made her sick, and she stopped drinking it ; so she never got the detox benefits from the kefir, and started feeling better. So, just hang in there, and you should feel great afterwards.
You are very lucky to have a doctor that understands about using foods to detox and not just one that wants to load you up with drugs instead.
