Fried zucchini ,pork chop cubed with peppers onions and Italian dressing...rice with tiny mixed veggies and topped it off with something called Dutch Babies
For supper yesterday we had some of the stuff that grows in the garden and some kind of dead animal. Sure was good!
Oh, this sounds familiar- was hungry enough to have a very early dinner: pot roast and gravy on mashed potatoes, sliced avocado on the side.
While staying in Vladimir on our Golden Ring trip, we came across this lovely restaurant called "Adam and Eve" which after the initial startling whiteness of it found it to be very comfortable with excellent food, so good we stayed there for three hours. It was 4pm on Sunday so we had the place to ourselves, the bill including an exotic liqueur coffee with rum, baileys and cinnamon, came to less than $30 in total... A few photos of the place with our food... Warm sweetbread and olive tapenade... Tender soufe of cod, cottage cheese and mushrooms, baked in the salmon petals with grilled vegetables Fillet of lamb stew with thyme, onion, carrot, eggplant, potatoes, tomatoes, cream, sour cream, brynza, honey and basil Curd dessert «Dadley» with yogurt and plum sauce Pancakes with strawberry sorbet Gentle and warming espresso with Jamaican rum, syrup «Caramel», Baileys liqueur, whipped cream and cinnamon
@Terry Page , I can't imagine staying 3 hours in a restaurant. Everything sure looked good. Menu plan for today is pork chop, mashed potatoes, gravy and fried okra.
Wow @Terry Page ...looks delish. Thinking catfish, potatoes augratin ,asperagus for tonight. I plan a menu for a week ...and I really get tried of doing that ...but it helps. I asked my hubby...do really have to eat
Sounds like a lovely dinner @Gloria Mitchell ...........I know what you mean about the repetition of planning and cooking meals, a pill a day would be easier...
On our last night in Vladimir before we returned to St.Petersburg we went to another appealing restaurant called "Panorama", presumably because of it's position and views over the surrounding countryside, again it was so comfortable we stayed 3 hours again evidently according to Google the average time spent in this restaurant is 3 hours, so we didn't overstay our welcome..
Wife has to work late so it's... " I think I know whats in that tubberware container" Omelette Night! Think I found some good stuff. Every one I make is a new adventure. Throw some cheese on top and all is good!
Sounds good...think that's what I'll make too @Tim Burr. I actually prefer them at dinner over breakfast.
We try to eat right when we cook at home. Just sometimes too tried or lazy and go with what is fast and easy. During the summer, I catch myself buying more stuff that can go on the grill. With those new 'mat' things, we can cook a lot of things on the grill that used to be a hassle. You reminded me of the tater tots casseroles the wife made when the kids were little. Like cheetos, finding a lone tater tots on the couch was normal with two boys in the house.
Well after all these exotic restaurant meals it's back to reality so I cooked a chilli bean casserole with buckwheat for dinner with strawberries and sour cream for dessert.....
