I didn't have dinner yet but plan on an omelet ...shredded swiss and gruyere cheese, tomatoes, and spinach inside. That's all I'm capable of after just eating soup since yesterday.
We went out for supper on Friday night.. We went food shopping and were way too tired and lazy to go home and cook something, so we shared a pizza ... To me it was like a vacation not having to cook supper.. Now, as far as Saturday goes, back to normal, (whatever normal is) and something for supper.. I have NO idea what to make but I will come up with something............................ soon !!!!!!
I can't tell you how often that I go grocery shopping and find that I do stop on the way home to pick up a pizza or go through to a fast food joint. I am glad I am not the only one that purchases food and they doesn't want to take the time to cook anything for dinner. Last night I had turkey and dressing for dinner. I will be having that for around a month. I am calculating how many different ways to there are to eat a 19 lb turkey. I think it's Turkey Taco Salad tonight.
Just had our dinner of a vegetarian cottage pie which I spiced up a bit with chilli and some other spices, it went down well with a glass or two of Isabella
Tonight I will be having leftover pumpkin lasagne, kale, onion, red pepper, olive, and sun dried tomato salad. Homemade Italian dressing. Mince tarts for dessert.
How do you not gain weight? If I ate like you I'd be huge! Must be my slow thyroid. I eat Kale, and never eat dessert.
Chrissy, this body stores calories like a plant stores photosynthesis. Lol. If I ate several times a day, I would weigh two hundred pounds.
Planning to make some chicken tenders, sides of baked potato and spinach. Two nights ago I made, for the first time in about 20 years, homemade beef stock from bones. I will never do that again! I will add veggies to it tonight, some peas, onion, celery, garlic, corn and a little tomato; maybe some leftover spinach for supper tomorrow.
That reminds me of bone marrow, did you ever eat that? I love it. It's fashionable now at high end restaurants as an appetizer. Way back when I made it, it was cheap, not so cheap now.
Oh yes Chrissy I love marrow and did even as a child when I would eat hardly anything! Marrow bones are not too expensive here. Now and then I buy thinner cut ones for the dog and then feel too guilty to braise the marrow for myself, since that's her treat.
They're pretty pricey here the last time I looked for being just bones basically! I don't see them too often either. I also loved them as a child and it was a favorite of my husbands also...my kids thought they were Yucky, although I've seen my adult son order it as an appetizer a few times.
