We had a Ninja-roasted chicken yesterday, and I took all of the leftover chicken and cubed it up for a chicken pot pie. Today, we went to Walmart, and I got a package of frozen mixed veggies, and a couple of those little refrigerated biscuits rolls for the crust, and now we have the chicken pot pie in the over cooking. Yes, it does have peas in it, and both Bobby and I love most veggies, including the peas; and it is starting to have a wonderful aroma in the kitchen right now.
Christmas Eve "encores" today and maybe tomorrow too. Good food is good food...no matter how many times you eat it.
My cupboard is bare and I'm too tired to go out today after my drive. I'm sure I have a TV dinner or a veggie pattie in my freezer. Beside getting some money for Christmas I also got another Trader Joe's gift card as a stocking stuffer so probably go there tomorrow.
Since we went to Robin’s for Christmas, we really did not have much for leftovers. I made a nice big pot of vegetable minestrone soup for tonight, and soup seemed like a good choice for this cold weather.
I have a wonderful recipe for soup you make with leftover turkey....it is delicious. Unfortunately there was not enough leftover turkey to make it.
Bacon wrapped jumbo shrimp, buffalo chicken wings, pork sausage with pineapple and sides are mixed greens, black-eyed peas, and baked potatoes.
That sounds delicious @Babs Hunt ...it's just occurred to me I didn't have any dinner tonight... too late now..it's 1am..
We are having fried chicken with mushroom and onion gravy, green salad, and butternut squash. I am having cranberries along with mine because I love cranberries .
I had Mac & Cheese with chopped fried bacon, shredded cabbage and chopped Broccoli all mixed in together...deeelishus!!
