Tonight, burgers, perhaps on the grill if I get ambitious enough. Weather will be ok for the grill and grill burgers has a much better taste than frying them in a skillet. Along with the burgers, homemade French Fries. Have already got the deep fryer out and potatoes ready to go thru the French Fry cutter. And, add a Bud Light and the movie, Beverly Hills Cop to that........good evening.

I found this recipe for chili seasoning mix and made a batch. The only difference I made was I used Tabasco powder instead of Cayenne and use 1/2 teaspoon instead of 1/4.

    https://www.mybakingaddiction.com/homemade-chili-and-taco-seasoning/

Yesterday I made chili with it and it was great, much better than the packaged mixes at the store.

I used two tablespoons per pound of meat. It was quite hot....we like it that way.

Yesterday we made our monthly trip to Sam’s Club, and since I had a free birthday dinner at Golden Corral, we went there after Sam’s and enjoyed their wonderful food. Next month is Bobby’s birthday, so we can do the same thing again, and that will be our GC dining for the year, most likely.
Since we had our main meal at Golden Corral, we just snacked in the evening . Bobby had the rest of the chicken pot pie, and his peanut butter sandwich before bedtime, and I had a bowl of oatmeal with half an apple and cinnamon.

Last night I had a very simple dinner. I chopped up skinless chicken thighs and fried them off in the just a spoonful of oil... and just had those nuggets with a bowl of spaghetti in tomato sauce.

I'm trying to lose weight...so today thus far I've just had porridge oats and skimmed milk with a small chopped banana

Ive lost 5 lbs but mainly because Ive had kind of a stomach bug thingy. Didn't feel the need to mention it on here....until now.

That's all I wanted to lose so I'll just watch what I eat now and try to maintain...could be some water weight loss so I'm not jumping for joy yet.

Haven't been very hungry either the last few days...probably part of the stomach bug.

I know Ive been eating less than 1,000 calories each day...some days only about 700.

I marinated some thin-sliced pork loin, onions and mushrooms in a spicy soy sauce marinade, and then we added a big bowl of green veggies and stirfried it for dinner tonight.
    It was delicious !
