Oh WOW - I think it figured it out... The top of my laptop is pushed to much forward... when I push it back some print becomes darker.. damn I feel dumb
Interesting. Glad you got it fixed. I have a similar story posted somewhere around here about fixing my wife's car and discovering it was just something loose when I shook the &#$% out of it in anger. Live & learn.
If you press your WINDOWS+U keys at the same time you'll bring up a whole smorgasbord of settings you can change to customize the way Windows looks for you. Apple likely has a similar set of things but I use Windows myself.
