My sweet mother-in-law will be 85 on July 26! She still lives alone in her home of the past 40 years. (My FIL died about 20 years ago.)
"I Will Soon Be Older Than Any Of The Wine I Drink" Turning 85 is certainly a reason to celebrate, Lon. Old wines do come at a price, though. Are you saying you drink wines of the vintage year 1934 at about $400 a bottle?
Wife turned 71 last January (2019) and I turned 70 earlier this month. We both think we are old, especially when the old arthritis pain kicks in, but to people your age (Lon and Hal) we could still be youngsters. Now, to folks that are from Generation X, Millennials and younger...…...we are definitely old. When I tell the younger generation that I done warehouse, purchasing and inventory stuff without a computer, they are in awe. I use to ship things using a UPS and FedX Book, write out/type out BOL's and stuff like that...….I'm "ancient" to them.
@Hal Pollner Hopefully, you and Lon only share approximate age with him. Not the....female scandaling.
@Bess Barber Ah, but suppose their imaginations are running away with them? Should we quash that? Frank
@Hal Pollner Seemingly a common enough circumstance. Now, if only comparative thought be forthcoming from the ladies..... Frank
@Bess Barber Kinda Chauv, don't ya think? As though "real ladies" are different somehow from "real men"......... Black Sheep Frank
