Yes it was a time when everyone pulled together but how that world has changed since. My mother had her good traits and my father must have thought a lot of her because they were together for 57 years.
Times have changed and not for the better Was watching a tribute to Larry Grayson last night, gentle 'funny' humour They then said how it all changed one day when 'alternative' comedy came about which was all about an aggressive take on it Larry was sidelined That's a small example, but I think contributes to todays way of thinking
Yes it does Patsy, so much has altered but I am glad I lived in the times I did because I would not want to be a youngster in this day and age.
Your Mother was such a character and I have a liking for her I laughed hard when she threw the meat at the butcher, I'd never heard the term 'mashed' but I guess they did mash the tealeaves down in the pot I love her calling him 'git', a term I use when someone annoys me
Thanks Patsy. Just going to put another Chapter up. I am a bit late today because I have been out taking advantage of the weather, it's been glorious here for a change.
Great - I'll catch that tomorrow Just put your book down, I'm on chapter 10, enjoying the read so much
Maisie - I've only got 9 pages to go in he book ! I says to my husband, what am I gonna do ! He says - start again and I will, but I've a friend here that I would like her to read it, then I'll re-read it You 'are' a little Spitfire Maisie If you lived here with me, we'd be Spitfires together and sort this place out !
The Chapters I am putting on here are the follow on of the book Patsy but I never had them published mainly because I was in and out of hospital and trying to look after hubby who had Dementia. As we go through them they will bring you up to todays era. Yes my father always called me Spitfire after I drowned him with the water.
