Nancy Hart: Me too. By the time I break it in half to cook it then cut it with a knife while eating it, it is short enough to easily make a bite size WITH a piece of meat on the fork with it!!! No mess. On me or anywhere else LOL Mine is so short it can be eaten with a spoon...I hated that it would take me so long to get each bite ready that I was always eating my meal cold.
Here is my food confession: I eat chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, sandwiches and other "pick up and eat" foods with a fork and knife..
I love it, I am doing that next time...... it is a pain to constantly be shoving and chasing it around the plate and stabbing at it seemingly forever to get each bite.... That is why a salad is thought of as diet food. You take forever to eat it, have to "work" for each and every bite and just give up eating it from frustration!! I am exhausted at the end of the meal
When I eat pizza at a restaurant, I always use knife & fork. I have no idea when I started doing that...it's not been a lifelong thing. When I make it at home, I eat it by hand...but I know my crust is rigid enough for me to safely do that. I'll use utensils on burgers and sandwiches if they are too unwieldy to heat by hand...if they slop apart, they get cut up into bite-sizes.
Hmmm, I don't recall ever being challenged by eating spaghetti or salad. Today it's Chick-fil-a day; no cooking!
I just snuck a peek at tonight's dinner menu and see that they are offering VENISON with CAB REDUCTION. I think that's what I will have.
I'll likely just have a salad. We made and delivered 100 full-course Thanksgiving meals at church today, so I ate that for a very filling lunch. A dozen of us were wearing masks, gloves and hair nets...it was something out of a Twilight Zone episode.
Great. THAT'LL be invading my dreams tonight. It was rather interesting today watching women in hair nets slaving over a barrel of instant mashed potatoes. I thought I was in elementary school again.
-Fried oysters (my neighbors just dropped off some nice fresh oysters) -French fries -Cole slaw -Fudgesicle
The cupboards are getting really bare here. Nothing to report. May have to go to the grocery store tomorrow.
