    Well try some in your scrambled eggs. And maybe toss in some cheese. And top with salsa. :D You could have a pickled egg with this, too.

    I think I'll stick with the poblano peppers next time. These eggs are darned good. Way better than any that I've ever bought in a grocery store or gas station.

    I was perusing Amazon for a gallon jar to store my upcoming pickled pickles in and I noticed this expert measuring technique for those who need a "visual." :D:D (Pickled eggs featured in product description.)

    I was looking for the best price on an Ohio Stoneware bean pot and found it from a vendor on the Walmart Marketplace. Also noticed these in the listings... Amish Wedding Pickled Beet Eggs.

    Those look like what I always considered to be pickled eggs. I always thought it was a good way to make use of the brine from pickled beets once the beets were gone. They used to serve them in the taverns where I grew up.

    Yup. Right next to the jar of pickled pigs feet that had "G. Washington" written on them and those Red Hot Vienna sausages.

    I used to hang out at the American Legion as a kid. At least the Slim Jims were edible.

    I've never tasted a pickled beet egg, but they sure don't look appetizing, given that I detest beets.

    this is something i've practiced on every occasion i can harvest freshly laid eggs...

    "Taking freshly-laid, still-warm eggs, farm families rolled them in their buttery palms. The butter helped solidify the hot, brittle shells, sealing off the yolky contents from the outside air.

    Buttered eggs take on a shiny gleam. And, as an added bonus, the taste of butter permeates the egg, making it even richer when cracked opened and cooked. Eggs preserved this way keep for up to six months in a cool place."

    I want some more pickled eggs, but I'll have to go to the store for them because my wife is complaining about the price of eggs, as if they are affordable for every other purpose, but it's a waste of money to pickle them. Women!
