Marie does a lot of cooking around my place also. I have to do the warming but I do that really well.
Not sure about supper, but locally-made authentic tamales with refried beans and guacamole is high on my list today. I might even make a personal appearance in the restaurant rather than take out. I am thinking a beer mug might even get emptied of its ingredients.
I am thawing out some liver, and going to make liver and onions with mushrooms and red/green bell peppers, and a baked potato to go along with it. Edit to add: it turned out delicious !
Buttered bread with a 2" hole cut in the center and an egg in the hole, then fried. Applesauce and a spoonful of peanut butter.
Well, I had chili and rice and later an apple jelly sandwich. I'll shop again in the next two days and that's when I hold my hands over my eyes and buy two pack of candies, the spice drops and the Orange Slices. Lord I love those candies. Wish I had some last night while the power was off, that's the good part about candy, you can eat it in the dark.
I have no idea what they serve in the Army today but 58 years ago it was Wednesday that was Liver Day. Every Mess Hall in the United States was empty. The KP pots and pans washer loved it .
Another iteration of a stuffed pepper, with a side of pasta in a garlic-oil dressing. And a salad. Four down, two to go.
