I'm pretty frustrated by the ads on news sites. Not that I mind the ads as much as the way they crowd out the meager content, interfere with scrolling, and can cause browser crashes. Don't get me started on paywalls. If it requires payment or an email address an article should not be returned by a web search.
I use an AdBlock extension on my browser. There are some local online "newspapers" that have paying subscribers, and they either make you subscribe or turn off your AdBlocker in order to read their stories. Sometimes I turn it off and sometimes I don't. There are a couple of news sites I've subscribed to so I can read/make Comments, and others I've stopped visiting since they went to a pay model. I like the comments because they add/clarify data, and keep the writer honest.
With the endless homeless MESS we have and in CA 1000's live in the streets and money is forever and ever being t hrown at this and nothing changes......so many homeless are addictx and NEED to be clean to get off the streets and then these peopole NEEED to go to work and they don't have work to go to even if they are CLEAN..............so they figure stay addicts and no need to find work.
The nice weather and the open invitation from the governor have successfully created the chaos. There is nothing to fix. Mission accomplished.
I think the media they were mostly talking about was like TV news programs. Online media where an actual alternative side of the 'news' is causing people to look elsewhere and actually think--I hope.
I think it is their new military to take over America, Not sure about our military since Obama fired 196 top brass and replaced them with who, that was what was being said several years ago. Who really knows what is going on now, not me.I just have my suspicions.
I agree although we have also be watchful of them too, but online seems the closest thing we will get now.
The jobs report is out and only 12,000 jobs were added when 113,000 were expected. Also 81,000 jobs were removed in revisions for the past two months. Things are not rosy for the Democrats.
Dude, you gotta get unburdened. But seriously, it sucks that as long as an individual's life is not disrupted, they'll vote for the status quo regardless of other people's rights getting trampled on. Conversely, if you wanna imposed authoritarianism, just mess with their routine.
I just finished watching “Dave” for about the 4th or 5th time and the crap that Bob Woodward as Chief of Staff was pulling got me thinking about our present Chief of Staff. Ya know, for a guy who graduated from Duke with a Bachelor’s degree in political science, he’s done pretty well for himself. Jeff Klein is the name and he’s served on a bunch of boards (including Face Book) and has acted as a financial consultant for a number of firms and somehow caught the attention of Barack Obama. Why, old Barack gave the guy a position to square away the disaster program affectionately known as “Obama Care” and later named as the first ever management efficiency something or other and had something to do with White House and Congressional budgeting. Note: Ya’ll look it up. I’m tired of having to log back in every time I want to switch screens and consult with wiki. I digress. Anyway, Joe Biden later hired Klein as a personal advisor and coordinator for the Covid debacle, then became The personal advisor for Joe and in ‘23, became the White House Chief of Staff which is, in many ways, as important as the Presidential position itself. Seems to me that Jeff Klein has had more jobs in his brief life than one could ever hope for and has probably been one of the several Presidents of the United States since Joe took office. I mean, with the exception of lining his back pocket, it seems that just about everything Klein has done has ended badly but he keeps moving upward. How?
I follow a couple of 'prophets' who have been right on over the years. They say, despite how bad things have gotten, there will be a 'great shaking'( which won't be enjoyable) but those who have gotten to high places will be brought low and corruption will be exposed. Trump is expected to win although looking at the news of cheating in several states, I wonder how. We need to continue to pray-- even non believers. It can't hurt.
