No grandkids, and don't expect any. My daughter was a nanny for 15 years or so and I think she is childrened-out. She's gone back to college and finishing a degree in disability studies or possibly urban studies with emphasis on disability environments. My daughter in law basically raised her 5 younger siblings through a traumatic childhood, and she is very career focused right now. I think she and my son lost their biological clocks in one of their cross country moves.
Grandkids -one is an electrician for commercial property - one is in high school - one is a welder, then one is a lab assistant at hospital - one is unemployed and usually is nowadays- one is a detective , not sure what the other one does. Out of seven only two of them I ever see or hear from.
I was wondering when someone was going to bring up "children" as well as "grandkids". But, for us, none of either.
