Foolishly, I had the pipe connecting the inlet to the tank replaced without asking to remove the gas. The pipe was rusted out as we had long ago replaced the gas tank with a plastic one. I could take it back to the mechanic and have him undo it again. There is a guard to keep syphoners from getting my gas without permission. I tried. Told hubby I might crawl under and drill a hole in the tank and then plug it back up but he said no. He ruins all my fun.
