Exactly correct. The "left" has been in control of nearly all of the media for quite while. They are the ones who have been pushing the ideas that Ramaswamy talked about. Moreover, when the "left" is in control of the gov't they also control far more than just political ideas.

Take smoking as an example. Not so long ago a pack of cigarettes cost merely one dollar. Now, in some left controlled states, a pack of cigarettes costs $9 /pack. BUT, notice that they don't tax alcohol anywhere near what cigarettes are taxed. Why ? Alcohol is the cause of thousands upon thousands of innocent lives on U.S. highway every year. Cigarettes do not destroy entire families ... alcohol does. Recently on the local news, they reported that a mother and 4 little kids were killed by a drunk driver. Yet, the left taxes cigarettes sky high.

I live alone and if I want to smoke that is my business and no one else's. My smoking does not, can not, harm anyone else. It's a strange world when the gov't does not get really serious about drunk drivers until the 3rd conviction are, BUT cigarettes make soon very well be outright banned.

I watched the video. There is something about Ramaswamy that raises my little spidey senses. He is saying all the right things, but he is saying them like a preacher at revival. It's like he has practiced in front of a mirror to make sure his delivery is perfect.

Is he saying those things because he believes them or just to build up a following? I sense a lack of sincerity.

Your spidey senses may well be right, Shirley. There are new accusations alleging an association between Ramaswamy, Hunter Biden and China. I would ignore this but the person making the accusation is a writer that I’ve followed. Marc Thiessen. The column is in the Washington Post behind a paywall but I heard Thiessen discussing it on a Fox News. There have been previous reports of something going on with Vivek and China’s CCP. It came up on Fox at the following link to the discussion about Menendez at the 1:49 mark.

I just heard that Kennedy's staff has leaked that he has decided to run as an Independent since the DNC has shut him out. The official announcement is supposed to come at a rally in Pennsylvania on October 6. That should make the next election even MORE chaotic :p

Of course, conversations immediately go to:

1-He doesn't have a chance of winning, then
2-Who is he most likely to steal votes from?
2(a)-I may contribute to his campaign.

Either way, I believe he will be an advocate for an honest system.

edit to correct...I meant an honest election.

Thanks Don, I so appreciate on how you keep me up on some of these things ;)

Thanks John as I got the feeling he is an honest man, and I do believe he would be such a good running mate with Trump. I'll have to give him a listen more, Denise

I have been reading that on Twitter for the last couple of days that since the Democratic Party is basically ignoring him, his only choice would be to run as an independent.
Most of the people have said that this would break up the Democratic vote, since there are a lot of Dems who are not happy with Biden , but do not want to vote r a Republican either.

It is still possible that Trump could work with Kennedy, and it seems like he has always been friends with the Kennedy family. If (somehow ?) the GOP picks someone else besides Trump as their candidate, then I can see that a Trump/Kennedy independent ticket could be possible, and maybe even a successful one.

Trump/Kennedy as I see it would be a "dream ticket" BUT of course we will have hoards of naysayers.

LOL, hip hip hurray if the GOP is stupid enough not to get behind Trump! I didn't even imagine that happening, running with Kennedy as independents. I feel, I'm getting close to being strictly independent voter ;) Love this Yvonne

We don't register party affiliation in Virginia.

As an aside: The option to register party affiliation exists in 31 states plus Washington DC. Only North Dakota does not require you to register in order to vote in Federal or state elections, although some local jurisdictions may require registration to vote in local elections.
