If people were like toad and frogs, I would be a toad, the round heavy one.

A toad traumatized me once... I was barefoot and outside one night, stepped off the bottom step onto the landing and yep, stepped right on a toad. I was grossed out for a long time... he could have at least turned into a prince, but no such luck. Nice pic, @Julie Stewart !

There is a toad that has been visitng here late in the evening. It is out on the porch. One night I thought i heard it and it turned out to be a mouse who went careneing away when he heard me...good! I hope I scared him to death!!! and he never comes back! There are alot of critters around here both big and small. I consier myself very fortunate that nothing has ever made it into the house..other than a little dog, that belonged to the neighbors.

    Toad Song

The song of a lonely toad in the night is a reminder that, lumpy and bumpy as he may be, there is someone out there to love him. Words and music by Puakea Noglemeier. Sung by Keali'i Reichel
