I knew that I had done another thread on this forum about tattoos, but I didn't think this was the same. The other one was more about "liking and not liking" them, whereas this one is asking about a "fad" of many, many tattoos on a person. As for me, I've only seen one guy, a young Army Veteran, back in the early 80's, who had them all over his arms. Today they can be seen all over the body, including the face and neck. Just like my other thread about tattoos, the subject is extremely controversial, but I was simply wondering where this "fad" got started and why so many young people like or even love being covered with them.
Yes, I also understand. My old brain wasn't thinking when I done it. All I was thinking about is watching a few NFL games on Sunday and seeing tons of tattoos on different players. Something I don't see in professional golf, rodeo, pro-tennis and pro bowling...……...but could be there. I just haven't seen any of these athletes with them. It just continues to shock wife and I at what is going on in society in parts of America. Just like many young folks of today, in their 20's and up, get really shocked about what Seniors still have...…….as in cassette players, VCR's, flip phones and other things that some would call "Ancient". We can/do get shocked about their looks and they get shocked about our likes and dislikes.
Like I said before, except for the internet ive not seen anybody with a face tattoo...I think I would notice that. Maybe you just have a lot of tattooed people in Jacksonville....for whatever reason. Why let it bother you?
We have got A LOT of tattooed young people here. Many live here, because it is so accepted. There are many, many more here than we ever seen when in Loveland and Cheyenne in July. But, did go to a Golden Corral Buffet on the eastern end of Loveland the last night we were there and seen a lot of Hispanics at the buffet that had numerous tattoos. We were sort of shocked, in that "that" look isn't on the western end of Loveland. And, the tattoo look wasn't at the rodeo in Cheyenne...…..that we seen at all. Why does it bother me? Why do certain things bother you? We are all bother by different things. There are plenty of threads on this forum about those things.
Yes but one or two posts is enough about tattoos. I don't care for them but it's not an obsession....things that bother me are because they affect my life in some way But I don't care what the general public does...and you can't judge a book by it's cover anyway. Some of the nicest people might have tattoos whereas ones with none could be evil. Like Ive said before..I'd rather see a person with tattoos than watch them spitting tobacco ugh..that just turns my stomach and I think that person has no class...but that's my opinion.
Is "obsession" the same as "wondering"?? You don't care, and that's entirely up to you. Most people here don't care and that's why it's so accepted here. And, anybody can be judged! You are judging me, for something I use to do. And other men and women who chew and/or "dip"...…..and, yes, I've been around some ladies that liked using Skoal (dip). Didn't bother me at all. When I did it, didn't bother my wife either. But, then again, we are both very, very different than you. But, that is ok. And, you say anybody that uses "dip" or "chew" has no class. Well, there are plenty of ranch and rodeo cowboys out there that use both and don't like "class" anyway. Wife and I aren't "classy", for-to-say. So, guess you have to watch about telling others they shouldn't judge, when you, yourself, are judging wife and I. Ok, you got me going, but that's alright.
Why am I being called "obsessed", when all I'm doing is "wondering"??? Can't someone wonder about something, not really get answers they are looking for and keep "wondering"? In all honesty, I don't get it. Again, guess wife and I are simply living in the wrong area/city of the U.S.. Just too many things catch my eye here and make me "wonder".
Maybe I should be more like my wife. She has nothing to do with forums and there must be an excellent reason for that. Then again, I like discussions, but not ones where I'm told I have "no class". LOL, Chrissy. We do have our times, don't we?

I'm not judging you @Cody Fousnaugh ....just spitting in public in general is more disgusting than someone with tattoos....in fact, I think it's even against the law. I'm not saying you went around spitting tobacco anywhere and everywhere, I'm just saying it's disgusting.
Like I've stated many times, Chrissy, you've never been around rodeo cowboys or ranchers on their ranch. Shoot, at country-western nightclubs, I'd see different guys spitting into beer bottles...…..like I use to. It's disgusting to you, because you don't know the lifestyle and don't want to know. I've been to horse and cattle sales, rodeo's and roping arenas where guys were spitting tobacco quite a bit. Even women bring cattle up to the sale ring. But, you know nothing about the places I've been. Heck, I've seen NFL players spitting something on the ground in the sidelines. How in the heck did the thread change to this???
Bottom line for you Cody (I think) ...everything is ok if cowboys do it but anything they don't do is disgusting to you.
