I saw one of the "swear words" coloring books advertised online today, and I was amazed at that. There are just bunches of them online, and I am still puzzled about how those are used ? It seems like a person could open the page they wanted to color in a paint program, and then color it online, and not need any actual paper or colored pencils or markers to color with. I have also seen the colored markers for sale online, and some of those sets are seriously expensive. I remember coloring as a kid; but it was not like I spent a lot of time doing that. I actually spent more time drawing or painting than coloring from a coloring book. I have looked at the intricate pictures that they have in these adult books, and I think that I might be more stressed after coloring them than de-stressed, @Debbie in Seattle .
The 12 year old had 2 pages of these designs to color for Spanish Class. I helped him do one. Took all morning! My back hurts and my finger has a callous now.....NO THANKS! Never want to see another one again. Also don't know what it has to do with Spanish Class....waste of time!!
I do a color book on the kindle. It is called zen coloring or something, and everything is done electronically. I think I would rather have an actual coloring book but I like the Zen coloring too. It is fun to make the desings come to life. I really love paint by number so I am certain I woould like the adult coloring books too. It would be a lot of fun I think. It is just one of the things that would be enjoyable as far as I am concerned. It is just one of the things that I would enjoy.
I almost hate to admit it, but I am addicted to the adult coloring books. My youngest daughter got me one for Christmas last year. I set it aside thinking that I would never enjoy doing that. But one dreary, rainy, cold day I picked it up. It was love at first dash of color. Now I have coloring books of all kinds. Does anyone else share my addiction.?
I think if someone would have gifted me with one of those adult coloring books and colors I would enjoy coloring in them too Joyce. When I first starting seeing these on TV commercials I thought about how much I used to like to color when I was young and how I still enjoy coloring with my grandchildren in their coloring books. Although I won't go out and spend the money on this...I definitely would color in them if I received this as a gift. And if this has become a hobby for you that you really enjoy then how wonderful for you! Do you enjoy coloring all kinds of pictures or just like scenery, etc?
I have been given a couple of adult colouring books with colouring pens and pencils as a gift. I've put them aside for when I retire and have more time and patience on my hands... It's not something I could find myself being addicted too..but it's lovely to find a hobby you enjoy @Joyce Mcgregor ..may you continue to enjoy it
I particularly like the geometric shapes. Flowers, butterflies, ect are high on my list but I will color almost anything.
I have printed off lots of my grandkids favorite cartoon characters for them to color from the Internet.
Mine are into Paw Patrol, Doc McStuffin's, Mickey Mouse and Minnie, and Team Umizoomi. And I have had fun coloring these pages with them too.
I know someone that does the smaller ones and then uses them along with construction paper for a hand made greeting card. Nice idea.
