It occurs to me that our Xfinity (Comcast) remotes are also "listeners." Of course, one has to press the little microphone and speak into the remote... but still, more electronic "ears" in the house. (That button could be a placebo, ya know. )

I know that since I have been diagnosed with Breast Cancer....so many TV commercials are talking about cancer, my FB page has so many ads about cancer, etc." Big Brother" is definitely aware of what is going on in our lives!
I don't consider it entirely a negative thing. I think it's more of a marketing tool, than the government wanting to spy on us. However, it's one thing when your computer responds to your searches, it feels kinda creepy when your phone listens to your conversation in the dining room.
Regardless of whether or not you are on the internet, or your phone is on or off, if you carry it with you, Google knows where you go. I saw a video demonstrating this about a year ago.
Somehow, the idea that a Google may be interested in me going back and forth between my laptop spot in my bedroom and the coffee pot in the kitchen, makes me feel wonderfully important.
If you have an Apple device, ask Siri, “how old is the President”, and you might be surprised at the answer ! Mine has changed now, but when people first asked, it was giving information for Kamala Harris ! Now, it just give a generic google answer; but people all over social media were posting information and videos saying that they got this same answer when they asked about the age of the president.
Android is the same. I thought such as this was against the law, but I was informed that by purchasing the phone, you are giving permission for this.
