Yeah. The thing is, it is a hospital based gym but that said, I bring all my own anti-stuff to the gym including my tens pen, k-tape and wraps if I damage myself whilst training.

    HEY MAGGIE MAE.....

It was Diclofenac Sodium Topical Gel that my Doctor prescribed for me when I visited her 3 weeks ago.

After using it on my lower back for a few days and experiencing no change in the relief of pain, I quit using it and went to ICY HOT and BEN GAY, neither of which produced any relief either.

I'll be seeing Dr. Reddy this week and find out what to do next.

    Thanks for responding,
    Hal

You ever try a Chiro? Three years ago I was on a walker because my back wouldn’t support me without a heckova lot of pain. A couple of visits to the chiropractor and some anti-inflammatory stuff and I was good as new.

From WebMD: It may take up to 2 weeks of using this drug regularly until you get the full benefit.

Sorry it didn't do the job for you Hal.

I know that she suggested it might take a few times of using it before a result was realized.

It's also .. as you probably already know .. to be used in small amounts. They include a little measuring device telling you how much to use.

Some of us respond well to some things and others not so much.

Don't give up .. you will find something that will help you :)

Maggie Mae..... I threw that little dosage stick away, not thinking it was important, and I applied the gel heavily. Do you think this may have accounted for the failure to ease the back pain?

Actually no .. my consideration is that you didn't use it long enough for it to begin having an effect.

I just measured the one we are currently using ... a strip about 2-1/4" long is equal to 2 grams and a strip about 4-1/2" long is equal to 4 grams. So use that as your guide and follow the instructions given by your Dr.
