That looks very small for the Albert Hall , Bill... Perhaps it's the tradesman's entrance... :D

I thought @Craig Swanson 's thread was about playing pool and assumed this one was about boxing.
I'm afraid to read any more thread titles. :D

Perhaps, @Holly Saunders, I have the wrong building. Grandson had a few weeks study at Oxford.
Some kind of International Programs study.

Perhaps a confession on my part would be in order. I spent several years on a forum or two down in Australia.
They were from time to time wishing Canadians a happy Boxing Day. I never made a comment one way or another
but I did think Boxing Day was a sports holiday, but then there's a dumb bunny in every crowd. I learned the truth
by reading Hal's post here @Hal Pollner.

My grandson just asked me about Boxing Day. I never heard of it before. When I said I didn't know he looked shocked and said 'What, you don't know? Then why is it on your calendar?' My response, 'I just bought the thing.' :D

LOL...well I can see how the term ''boxing day'' would lead you to believe it might be something to do with sports.. :D

The only thing we have close to that would be when the Post Office collects canned goods. Having an official Boxing Day is wonderful!!

Here our supermarkets place large boxes..crates and empty shopping carts inside the supermarket, but by the exit door, so that shoppers can buy a few extra items for the poor, and them place them in the cages..which are collected by the food banks ... So lots of shoppers donate canned goods, dried good.. babies nappies (diapers).. bottled sauces.. cereals , toilet paper, tampons, etc... ( even if they can only afford a can of coup... )

Most churches and other organizations do have food pantries as well. Trader Joes puts food out every day at closing for facilities to pick up as well. There really is no reason for anyone in America to go hungry.

Boxing Day is recognized in many other countries, including Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.
