I already did my rant here today but deleted it. Plus, One may have been deleted by my buddies, but then who knows since I may have forgotten to hit post. I put it in the wrong threads. So I'm over it now got it out already., did it, done it, done.
That word ' bussies was meant to be 'buddies',I had top think about a few minutes to figure it out myself.
The stupid crap compounding pharmacy I'm stuck with cannot find it's own butt with both hands and a flashlight. These are the guys that cannot remember to send my meds via shuttle service so I can get them from their other location rather than driving 75 miles one way to pick them up (and then they sarcastically tell me to have a nice drive home.) Today I put in a refill request, and I received a text saying that I have 0 refills left. The bottle I got last month says 18 refills left. I can't talk to anyone about it because they only communicate via text, and if they don't like what you've got to say, or they don't like the question you asked, they don't respond...either that or they have moved on to something else and your text drops into a black hole. I replied that the bottle says "18 Refills Left," but I don't expect to hear back. They say they contacted my doctor's office for a refill, but I have yet to have a refill request get processed unless I am the one requesting it. Even requests from CVS and Walmart seem to get ignored by this practice. So I sent a note in to my doctor's practice. The compounded meds I get are not available elsewhere and they have a finite shelf life. Because of this pharmacy, I order them to be received a week before I really need them so there's breathing room to accommodate their dysfunction.
Thats damn terrible! How do people get away with things like this, some things are maddening. Hope something happens to change these bad people, like lose their job.
From what I read on the "Rate Your Employer" websites, the owner over-controls everything. I've thought of composing an email to try to get him to see how he's screwing his customers, but he pretty much has a monopoly on his line of business. There are other compounding pharmacies around, but they don't cover nearly the range of stuff that he does. He's 75 miles away and there is no one closer to get my meds. Plus, there are lots of rules & regs that must be met or he'll lose his license to compound meds, so he's gotta keep some degree of control. I'm sure it's more frustrating for the employees who gotta live with it all week than it is for me to deal with once a month.
Thanks for that. I've been taking 3mg of Boron daily for I don't know how long. My current mission is trying to figure out what's going on with the calcium in my system.
9mg? That's about the middle of the "acceptable" range I've read. It's always a guessing game because we can't know what we get through our diet.
I believe a study was done that there is no boron in the soil in Jamaica where everyone has arthritis. And a lot of boron in the soil in Israel where there is minimal arthritis. That was years ago though. Boron and a lot of minerals are being depleted in the soils so it depends on where your food is coming from. Very confusing. Just thought I'd offer it.
Boron can become toxic, so be careful with the amounts. I have told my story of my friend whose life was totally haywire due to a parathyroid tumor, so that goes along with Dr. Berg's comments on PTH. Boron is very deficient in much of U.S. agricultural soils, so the diet may be (probably is) deficient in that mineral. It is necessary for the flowering of fruit trees however, so fruit farmers usually add that to the orchard fertilizer routine. A link between boron and arthritis is new to me. Thanks @Mary Stetler
Yup. Medical/supplement websites are still operating under food analysis of 100 years ago. And I appreciate the advice. I forgot that boron was yet another trace mineral that supports proper metabolism of calcium.
