I have two. Complaints, not rants. 1. The tailgate on this new Ranger locks whenever the doors lock. Apparently there is no way to stop this without disconnecting the wiring inside the tailgate. No solution found so far, anyway. You go outside to put something in, or take something out, of the bed of the truck and have to go back inside to get the key fob. You don't really need it. It just has to be within 3 feet of the truck. 2. People on specialty forums who answer an innocent question by questioning the questioner's sanity, "Why on earth wouldn't you want the tailgate to lock when the doors lock?" Do they want to start an argument?
Let's see, what do I want to "rant" about? Well, from what I seen at the NFR's Cowboy Christmas, how much rodeo and western stuff has changed in previous years. To a point, it sure isn't like the old days when I was in the arena on weekends! And, #2 "rant": How much Vegas has changed from the last time wife, myself and her family were there in December 2006. Very little-to-no outside Christmas decor in Vegas now.
The keto diet is probably the best way to heal ourselves of most ills. I find it difficult but the south beach diet is not that far off of keto and I do well on that. A natural alternative to metformin is a weed called purslane. It is quite tasty in salads and soups too. I think naturopaths are supposed to be more versed in food being our medicine but I have never been to see one.
didn't I mention this above Don "Now we could get really deep and try to buy all organic, but who can even be sure of the soil that's grown in". We don't know unless we own our own land and take samples of the soil. This I understand growing up around people with their own produce as well as cattle, pigs and sheep It's really good that you are so knowledgeable though, that's how any of us can make the best decisions possible, plus, not to leave out the fact some have to buy for a lot more than "one person" homes ;(
Sounds like you are on the right track Mary I know the Atkens Diet was very close to Keto as well. I bet you've done some reading about Insulin Resistance and I learned that can be a precursor to diabetes. It's too bad that a test of your Insulin (whatever that is to show if you are Insulin Resistant) so that people could avoid diabetes and other issues altogether. Dr. Ben Bickman talks about that. I love meeting others that are familiar, and practicing, a Keto diet!
I need all my British tv shows to bring their new seasons on now! I have repeated, and repeated all the repeats I can handle !
#2 rings true on just so many levels. Q: Anyone know who has a can of Krylon #254 Red in stock locally? A: Why would you want to use that color? What are you painting? **SMACK!!**
OK, just because I don't spell it correctly or put a coma in instead of a . I am told I can't get to the site I want. Like if I put down seniorsonly.com I am directed to some weird site of advertising or something. But if I put in a google sanctioned site, slightly off, I am offered several options one of which is always the one I meant. So I click on the back arrow to retype the address. I do not want to yield to google in any way. I have looked at google maps on ocassion. I can see what my childhood home looks like now. And they have my identity because I had to open a gmail account. Maybe I will have to get another computer with cash again because of weird offers and google pop-ups I email, use craigslist, come here and check the weather. I do my own doctoring and financial stuff on hard copy. I am not totally paranoid, I don't need it, didn't ask for it and grew up where the customer is always right. Now we are offered and sold stuff we did not ask for and we get customer no service.
The address/name for this website is SeniorsOnly.club, not SeniorsOnly.com, @Mary Stetler . If you put in the wrong one, it definitely would not open up this forum for you.
Yes, I know what the addy is. I am here and I don't even do bookmarks. But if I typed in amazon.cim, google would offer me amazon.com as a choice to change my addy to. google knows exactly what I mean if I make a mistake. Often it fights me because I refuse to use it as my search engine. It keeps offering ways to make reviews through them when I am fine using my own methods. It keeps asking me to sign into things I don't care to... I am ranting.
Okay, sorry, Mary, I guess I misunderstood. I have an Apple iPad, so I use either Safari (which comes with it) or Bing when I am browsing the internet, so I don’t get any google interruptions like you are talking about.
There is the DuckDuckGo option, as well as Bing and a number of others. I only use Google on my phone, but I seldom search from there.
The Sheep are a majority: I just came back from a very large grocery store, and I would guess that 8 out of 10 people were masked even though they don't have to -- it was their choice. Before that, I had lunch at a privately-owned hamburger joint that operates similar to McD's, etc. Walk up to counter, order, and they bring it to you on a tray. Burgers are great. I would say that the mask ratio was reversed from the grocery store. Go figure. Maybe the grocery shoppers watched CNN just before they went shopping, and the burger peeps didn't.
