I think once I left my family system where anything you said could and would be held against you, it took me a while to open up, eventually realizing that silence can be poisonous. I talk freely about health issues because it's really no big deal, and it might help someone else. I understand that not everyone is this way, nor did I used to be.

Try to not worry to much and let your head get ahead of the facts (gee, that's easier advice to give than to take.) One step at a time. Even if there is a component of the shots in all this, the two of you are in better shape to exit it unscathed than most people.

Ah so many jabs, and people still allow them in their bodies. I wouldn't touch one
in my body, and the 50 resting heart rate seems pretty low. Too low.

Kate said "high 50s," which is not that extreme, is it? It's almost 60, which is still low but not radically so.

Regarding "jabs:" That ship has sailed for some folk. I know I have my opinions, but figured I'd not raise them where folks are in the middle of a crisis. I don't think there's a dearth of vax threads here. If there is, I can start another one. ;)

True but could be a factor overall in what is going on.

You should have information from the sleep app about how your husband’s heart rate is doing at night, @Kate Ellery . Mine usually shows a steady rate all night, due to the pacemaker; but when my heart was in a-fib, the readings were crazy , all over the place.
Be sure to use the electrocardiogram function anytime your heart feels like it is not working right, and that will also tell you if your heart is in sinus rhythm or in a-fib.

It is amazing all of the information that the Apple Watch gathers about our hearts, and it can really give you a good idea of what is going on at any moment in time.
You should be able to see what your husband’s heart rate was doing at the times the watch sent the a-fib alert.
Just look at the apple health app, and check all of the information pertaining to your heart.
Having the EKC results on your personal records helps a lot, too, because you can show your doctor when the heart has been in rhythm and when it has not, so the doctor can get a better picture of what is happening.

If you have been having unusual heart rates, it would be good for you to monitor your heart and oxygen levels also, along with your husband’s levels,

This is a screenshot of what my heart showed on the sleep app last January when it was back in a-fib again, before they did the last pacemaker adjustment, and you can see that my heart was all over the place that night.
The EKG’s show even more information.
You should be able to see the same thing with your heart and your husband’s heart from your health app.
