That's not the same thing as recording your keystrokes on your computer, accessing your passwords, your credit card information, etc.
@Ken Anderson , even so, what can we do about it? We could ask the government to stop it but that would mean giving them more control over the internet. Do we want that?
Most websites legally track which sites you visit on the web, and can attribute those visits to your name. Some hackers may track your key strokes, which is done illegally. To avoid that you should use an anti-malware / anti-virus software program like Malwarebytes. If you don't want to be tracked at all, and you're willing to deal with a slower experience, you can use something like TorBrowser. If you want to avoid getting hacked, use a password encryptor and an https chrome extension. Hope that helps!
