    My aunt was not poetic.
    But it seems there were nodules on the roots that were edible. Tasted more like grass than nuts, though.

    Around the backyard this morning; a lot of sad looking stuff due to heat and drought.

    Malabar Spinach vine is loving the heat (and needs a trim). This was a volunteer from trimmings discarded from the raised bed.
