So did I Lois. Well actually a writer. But that is not a profession unless you are very good. I always enjoyed writing from my early boarding school days but as for writing a novel I figured very early that was something I'd struggle to achieve. So I settled for the next best thing when I was offered an cadetship with a leading Sydney newspaper. Talk about slave labor..that and the slowness over promotion saw me resign a year later. Much to my regret. It was not til 15 years later that I revisited journalism.
