Well, now thinking about the "learning" thing, I'd have to say this: Wife and I have learned, all to well and to disappointment, just how much rodeo fans have changed, in what they wear and other things. Back in the early 2000, many more female rodeo fans wore cowboy hats to a rodeo and to a country-western nightclub...........like my wife did and still does.

IOW, it can be pretty painful finding out how much has changed in 15 years!

I still have an interest in learning about history, the evolution of our planet, etc. I watch a lot of stuff on the History Channel, Discovery, Smithsonian Channel, and Natural Geographic. The Science Channel has shows called "Strange Evidence" and "What on Earth?" that usually have interesting subject matter. So I suppose I like passive learning, where I just sit and watch. :D

I also enjoy biographical shows, particularly about historical figures (entertainers, not so much). The Ken Burns documentaries never fail to draw me in.

I've always enjoyed history. Too bad I forgot much of it. I also like bio's of some people, I really enjoyed the book 'George Washington', it was a long one 930 pages. Although I enjoyed the study of Egypt, and Middle East, I mostly like the study of my own ancestors from BC to AD.

John I will get back to Ted Talks once I'm not up and down so much doing things around here. I'm not the multi-tasker I once was.

I sure am willing to learn new things, as I grow older. Problem is, my old mind and body doesn't want to go along with it. :D

You were lucky to be close to so much of the entertainment culture of those days. I always liked old movie classics.

I remember reading that all living things are either growing or decomposing. It motivates me to keep on learning and helping my mind grow so that it does not decompose instead.

Absolutely. I saw many a terrific Broadway Play. Prefer stage production to movies any day. I've seen movies made when I lived in California, and it is boring and tedious to observe.
