Gee, I ignore most of the threads on here and on several other sites I frequent. It never crossed my mind that by ignoring a thread that I was implicitly approving of it, or that other posters ever thought about my not posting on a particular thread. YMMV
At the present time, it probably isn’t easy thinking about intimacy for Hal. He just lost his wife and although it is a lousy comparison but when someone doesn’t have what it seems that everyone else has it becomes a sort of taboo subject for them which is why I want him to think about what the real problem is. He certainly wasn’t against sex or intimacy but right now the thoughts of such things probably does a heavy number on him.
