Don't worry, Peter, there's not an officer in the U.S. that would shoot you! Well, that is unless, somewhere close to you is a handgun, officers see it and you reach for it. All bets are off then!
Well, I guess I am too much of a backwoods woodchuck. Dealers around here are the kids in the lifted diesel pick ups with the 'truck-nuts hanging from the hitch.
There are young folks like the highly tinted windows, all the way around the vehicle, so nobody can see them hitting a bong while driving or a passenger injecting a drug into their arm. And, an officer can't see a person flipping them off when the officer drives by. Don't think any of the three happen, just ask a uniformed officer. Oh yea. Our back windows, in our Durango have fairly heavy tint on them, but our front windows are lightly tinted.
We seen a few of those trucks in northeastern Florida. IOW, the "Redneck" type. Here in Colorado, nothing like that, at least that we've seen and I'm very, very observant.
This heavily tinted vehicle glass, with youngin's smoking pot or using a needle, isn't just in movies, but also in real life.
Heck, in my neighborhood ya don’t need a vehicle with tinted glass or even a go cart with a tinted wind breaker. I’ve chased off numerous folks who insist that they can stand there in the open public and do whatever they wish to do from dealing drugs to using it.
Serious as a heartbeat ! Happens here 24/7. I think we hear more sirens than any other part of Huntsville, too. And Bobby didn’t even mention the “women of the street” , who are walking up and down at all hours of the day and night. Bobby and I had walked down to the little corner store, and I had Poodle on the leash, so I had to wait outside. It was only a few minutes before some weird guy came by asking if I was “looking for a date “. You can’t imagine how shocked I was, and how FAST I told him that I was waiting for my husband to come back out of the store ! !
Yes very true - dealers deal on the streets but the 'high rollers' have the expensive cars with dark tinted windows and, they are for sure stopped by police, unfortunately innocents are also stopped. Maybe these high rollers need a different angle as this sure ain't working (thank goodness) Maybe a push bike with a basket at the front …………
So, Yvonne, why do you and Bobby continue to live in an area like this? I know you'll say "family", but isn't there anywhere else you could live that would be safer?
Well, compared to where we lived before, but not the area we lived in, we have literally no crime and is extremely safe.
