See that's where we differ Patsy, I cannot stand moustaches alone, I don't think they are flattering at all.....I think it should either be a beard or nothing Look at this lot...not one of them looks better with a tache ... https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=f...lNjOAhWGXBoKHepcBWYQ_AUICCgB&biw=1376&bih=622
Well I can understand her...it's nothing about style and sophistication it's about not wanting to be kissed by someone with half their dinner in their beard...
@Holly Saunders - Oh God you're right ! Mind you, I was quite taken with Michelle Obama and Groucho's
Patsy hubs has just arrived home and I bombarded him with questions about why he has his beard, and he said, it's men's way of being a little bit individual in the same way that women get their hair done in all different styles, he feels that growing a beard or shaving it off, rings the changes for men..
Okay, now it is perfectly clear ! I guess I have never claimed to be sophisticated. Although there are a few exceptions, I truly think that clean-shaven is much more stylish and far more handsome. I do think that Sean Connery looks much better now than he did when he was younger, even though he was clean-shaven back when he was James Bond. I never was a James Bond fan, so maybe that is part of the reason for that. To me, lips are SO sexy, and it is one of the things that I am always looking at when watching some handsome movie star. And of course, if it is a western, and the guy is wearing jeans, then you know what else I am looking at..... But back to face hair, I definitely prefer none, however, Clark Gable did look good with the short mustache, it totally outlined his lips without hiding them. Or Val Kilmer in Tombstone, oh yeah......
I don't like men with beards or mustache because it hides the face. A clean shaven guy has his face in full view so you get to know his face. My husband used to have a boss who has a beard and mustache with half his face covered. I would see the boss when I occasionally pick up my husband from work. And then one day that I entered the office, a clean shaven man greeted me in the reception area. I just smiled for he looked a stranger to me. When he laughed, that's the time I realized that he is the boss. He looked so different without those hair in the face. My husband has no beard, hmm, maybe just a few strands. He shaves his mustache every night, yeah, not in the morning.
What kind of moronic demon decided men should shave. I do keep my beard short but shaving just doesn't make sense.
My son has a full close beard. I would post his picture but all you ladies would swoon and have to have smelling salt. He is better looking than the guy in Chrissy's second picture. I love a man with a beard.
Like to grow one every so often. Usually at the start of winter. Wife says it makes me look older. I think, 'How is that even possible'...
@ "Why do some men choose to have a beard." IMO, because they are lazy, slovenly, or have disagreeable appearance, such as scars from burns. So, tar and feather me, if you must! Frank
@Ike Willis Ah, Ike, I forgot that reason in my (lazy) post. You ain't the lazy type, I'm sure! Frank
