I think I can only remember seeing her in one movie. All About Eve. She wasn't really in movies I favored as a kid.

 

Right now The Catered Affair (1956) is playing on Turner Classics, with Ernest Borgnine and Debbie Reynolds. Reminded me of this thread.

I saw the movie years ago. Critics' reviews were not good, but I liked it. It was different.

Watched 'Catered affair' last night, so glad it had a happy ending, I was almost wrung out
Its what we call a 'kitchen sink drama' - good film

Mr. Skeffington was my favorite followed by The Letter.

 

I had the honor to be told -countless times- I look like Bette Davis.
I remembering being about 25 y/o when entering a coffee shop in Buenos Aires and the owner saying "Oh, God, the Argentinian Bette Davis."
