The excuse was immediately assailed by Biden’s critics, who pointed out that it was contradicted by previously known facts. Namely, that Biden had taken more than a week to prepare for the debate. Ol' Joe has been a big liar and fabricator all his political career, and he expects people to believe his fantastic stories. Clinton and Obama were also, but not as of-the-wall, and they all expected the media to cover for them.
As Mr.Cooke of The Blaze said, "The excuse was immediately assailed by Biden’s critics..." Why was it "assailed by his critics?" Why was it not just reported on? And who didn't report it? Chris Matthews about Bush: "It's the job of the media to hold the president accountable." Chris Matthews about Obama: "It's the job of the media to support the president."
Trump does stumble with his words sometimes, repeating and such. But it is mostly because he does not use a teleprompter and has to re think some stuff. I do that too. But think of all he has on his mind all the time.
