Bruce and Ann--Bill was a treasure, as I'm sure you know. We'll miss his "voice" around here. It was obvious that Bill loved his family and was so proud of all of you.
Whether face to face or on the net, when a person becomes a friend I kinda expect them to be there doing what they always do. I can’t remember having a “what if” moment when it came to Bill even though he wrote about his ailments many times. He’s not supposed to be gone. He’s supposed to be here….writing. I wonder though. Ike had about the same good nature as Bill and they both had so many great stories so maybe there’s a very special club just for folks like that. Rest in Peace Bill………
Bill was a true gentleman. His tolerance for others' opinions was refreshing. His knowledge and love of the harmonica will be missed. I may have met Bill back in the 1960s when I stayed with relatives near Witcha Falls, Texas. Bill was there then and witnessed the tornado, as I did also, that wiped out part of the town, specifically a trailer park area. I will miss Bill, but I will enjoy rereading his stories and he will live on here. I wasn't prepared to cry this morning.
You will be missed Bill for so many reasons. May our heavenly Father comfort and bring peace to your loved ones. And Bill I'll be looking forward to meeting you one day. Thanks for all the wonderful memories.
