Lol, don't do that! I was feeling pretty good about myself with her at 43. 60 changed all that.

That makes me miss Jerry Lewis, Red Skelton(?), Bob Hope, even Jackie Gleason(?). Even though we generally knew what was coming, we would laugh anyway.

I haven't laughed much in the last few years, and I admit it wasn't the comedians fault. Things just weren't funny to me. The last comedian I found funny was Goerge Carlton (?).

So who do you find funny, but not stupid in today array of comedians?

A good question Ina most of the current ones are pretty crude to be honest, but my daughters follow a few on this video below. I don't find a lot of their humour funny probably due to my age.The video covers most of the current ones but a lot of the humour may not work for you as it's very British at times.

Good question Ina. I don't find any of today's comedians FUNNY ... they are mostly rude and crude to me.
I'll be watching a silly TV show sometimes, and burst out laughing at something said ... and that surprises me as much as anything! .. (like Big Bang Theory or Mom or one of those dumb shows)

Let's see, how does my wife deal with boredom.........plays games on her iPhone6! In fact, if she appears to be bored to me, I'll look at her and say "go play some games on your phone". A smile comes across her face and she gets her phone.
Sometimes, if we are waiting to be served a meal at a restaurant, we will both be on our iPhones doing something.

As far as humor goes, we watched Last Comic Standing last year and loved it. We also have some very humorous dvd movies, like: Get Smart, Weekend At Bernie's, Taxi, Grown Ups, among others. Yes, if a person doesn't have a good "sense of humor", they sure won't get along with wife and I.

I'm a big fan of Paul Merton. I saw a show he did at the Edinburgh festival a couple of years ago. It was essentially a lecture on the old black and white movie stars. He's very knowledgeable about that era and is a great lover of Buster Keaton. I like his slightly surreal approach, too

That reminds me of the Bill Hicks story where he was sitting in a diner reading a book. The waitress came over and said, "Why are you reading?" Not "what?" but "why?"

Yes Tom I like Paul Merton, I did see him live once and I wasn't so impressed, I guess it may have been on off night.

He is very good on the news programme "Have I got News for You"

    Here he is being interviewed:
