As was covered earlier, the problem seems to be that Northern Ireland "backstop" that @Holly Saunders referred to. The PM needs the Northern Ireland votes to stay in power, and Scotland apparently doesn't want to leave the EU, and there is some threat from them to leave the UK. It sounds like quite a mess.

You are absolutely spot on Martin
The way Brexit has been handled is so atrocious, if it were a film scenario I'd switch off, because it just wouldn't
    make sense
    - I will never get over the way I feel about the Government handling of it, to allow the EU to 'still' govern terms !!
    Totally unbelievable !

Thank God, we've been holding our collective breaths for tonight's vote in the house of parliament on whether we will settle for a No Deal Brexit, and MP's have Rejected No Deal Bexit at ANY TIME!!! *phew*...now the fight goes on and it looks like we'll be delaying the Brexit date.. potentially... but at least there will never be a No Deal!!

I've just been watching the whole Vote going on in parliament, I was so tense I didn't realise my hands were clenched so tightly in anticipation , that I ended up with pins and needles in my fingers..

Because of the way Brexit has been handled - it was foolhardy not to sustain 'no deal' - it wouldn't have ended up that way
'cos neither side want 'no deal'. The whole process has been laid bare by us, showing our cards at every turn - what an
absolute fiasco. EU know how to play the game - we haven't got a clue
There are so many options for us and we haven't put one of them forward - we just keep going over there cap in hand

It appears Ms. may is way over her head and has lost her ability to continue to govern. The only way out would be to call for elections and see how the votes fall.

That's because they are confronted with the same globalist agenda.

Well the vote is in now since an hour ago to request an an extension to article 50... this if granted could mean just a short extension of up to a couple of weeks and then if no resolution , however before that request can be implemented Mrs May narcissistically will be going ahead with yet a 3rd vote in the 'house'' next week to get the go ahead for the terms of HER Brexit deal.

If her deal does get agreed by MPs she will ask for a three month extension and if it doesn't get passed she will seek out an Agreement for a longer delay , potentially of up to two years - incredibly.....however for that to occur all member states must agree unanimously

I just realized that I didn't capitalize her last name...sorry. Yeah the unanimity of the process in the EU is part of the problem. That is why the UN never requires a unanimous vote except by the permanent members of the Security Council. It is almost impossible to attain. The elections I was referring to were Parliamentary elections, not a re-vote on Brexit just to clarify. I don't know how Ms. May has survived so far. From what I have read, governments have lost power over much less in the past.

We discuss this very thing at home, and we can only conclude that she's survived simply because there's no-one with any kind of ability to lead the country in her stead.. jeez.. god forbid Corbin was ever voted in as leader .. and in her own party Boris Johnson (much as I like him as a person)..would be a disaster

Its a mystery to me too and I'm sure many Brexit voters
Now we have the 'extension' and unless the other ideas are 'now' put forward  there is absolutely no point to the extension
