What I wonder is, what happens to the money that is suppose to go to public schools. My SIL is a retired teacher and wonders the same thing.
My brother was a teacher in Michigan when they started the lottery there. A large percentage of the earnings from the lottery were supposed to go to the schools, but it was simply deducted from the amount of money that the state was already putting into the schools so, in reality, it meant more money for the state, not the schools.
Hopefully the money goes where it should. I wonder if there is a public record of it? I wouldn't know what to do with all that money if I won. I know I would keep very little for myself. Most would go to my kids and siblings. I would trust my kids to give me what I needed if I wanted something. I'm not saying that I'd still live here in Fresno and drive my Chevy Cruze but one million would suffice for some Botox and a few minor repairs. Even if I had the money I would never do major plastic surgery ...too scary. I would get a personal trainer though.
I WON ............. I WON ................... Yes, I won the lotto this week !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I bought a 6/49 lotto ticket that costs me $20.00 and ................. I WON ........... I WON $10.00 .............. Yes, I won $10.00 ............ WOW !!!! I am excited......... What will I do with my winnings ????
How the heck did I miss a thread about lottery tickets? I always feel better when I have a lottery ticket. I've only met one person who's won a significant amount on the lottery, but I'm always hopeful. I purchase several per month, which doesn't actually amount to a lot of money, but they give me a bit of hope that it could happen. I wouldn't go hog wild if I won, but there are a lot of things it would enable me to do that just aren't possible right now.
