Imagine that, and then being upside down in a lake at the same time. That was a large part of the fun of it. Of course, I was much younger then, and I could get out if unable to upright it. Today, if I got into such a space, getting out might be difficult under the best of conditions.

But even though I don't remember this place as having any rapids....it still is not a lake and I don't think I would want to begin canoeing again here. I think they have canoe rentals at Lake Fausse Point and they also have cabins you can rent as well as regular camping areas. It is only about an hour from here. I will be doing some research and I have time because I don't want to go until the weather is cooler too. I wonder if you can fish from a canoe?
