I started a new game thread Wordle here. When you play the game, it shows your results on a webpage and offer a green "share" to copy to your clipboard. Generally, then I should be able to come to my reply space here on the forum, hold ctrl and v , and it should paste what I've saved to my clipboard. It only shows the blank results, not my finished game. Can anyone explain this to me? Thank you.

Okay. I found a game where you can download the puzzle's image, save it to your computer, then use the "Upload a File" to post it as I just did above. If you want, I can put directions in your puzzle thread. edit to add: This is a free game. No account required. I think @Michelle Anderson shared this with us.
Well, if we can do it, sure. Maybe the same thing applies to the Wordle game, download and then paste. I do wonder why it won't work here, when it works on other forums, though.
Are you saying you successfully pasted it elsewhere? I could not get it to paste in applications on my computer, so it's not the forum as far as my puzzle is concerned. Do you have a NY Times account you log into before you play? Also, I played that first game and now cannot get a new game to load. What's the secret? Edit to add: Never mind. A fresh puzzle is loaded at midnight. You only get one per day. Now I understand when you said "Daily."
Are you saying you successfully pasted it elsewhere? Yes, On two other forums, in the reply box (just like this one), I simply do a ctrl V to paste from my clipboard and it replicates the results fine.
Wordle 684 3/6 ⬜⬜⬜ ⬜⬜⬜ When I paste from my clipboard, I also initially get the results with green, yellow boxes, etc. When I click on preview, it stays correct, but when I hit post reply, it changes to this blank thing....grrrr.
I found the source puzzle website for that NY Times page, and it does not require an account. I still cannot paste those results here or anywhere on my computer. Can you go to that other forum and paste the current puzzle just to test it? You don't have to Post the reply, just see if it pastes as you expect to see it. Perhaps there's an issue with the puzzle website's software.
Okay. I do not let go of things easily. I sent the source website folks an email with samples of how it pastes into this forum, how it pastes into a graphics program, and how it pastes into a Word document. None of them paste correctly for me. Perhaps they can lend a hand.
I logged on to SeniorForums.com and pasted the clipboard there. They use a different forum program than we do. It came out the same way it does here.
Since I'm blathering on this thread...the email address for the source Wordle website was a .UK address. I just received confirmation of receipt from the NY Times.
