    i have had state farm ever since i have been driving.when i paid my car off i dropped full coverage.i lived by myself for 20 years and it was inexpensive--i moved in with my kids 6 years ago and my car insurance went sky high because there are 3 other drivers living here-they never drive my car .

    You could try changing companies. I had the same problem. I still had one son at home (he was going to tech school) and he got a few tickets driving to school and returning on weekends. When the insurance bill came, they had raised the rates on my wife's car and my truck, but the coverage on his car didn't move. The company wouldn't correct the bill; he paid insurance on his car and never drove our vehicles. We changed to a different company and the only insurance that was high was on his car.

    We use Amica for our house, cars, land, and camp, and we're pretty happy with them. Thus far, we've never had any problems settling a claim.
