What "proof" would you need to believe that God, Jesus Christ, and the Bible are who and what they say they are?
@Babs Hunt that is a very good question and not easy. I would have to have scientists say that they were wrong about the beginnings of life on the planet. A majority consensus, not just a few. I would expect to see some very positive proof of something so spectacular that no earthly being could have been possible for it. Maybe some better explanations of things said in the Bible, when there is something that can't possibly be accurate believers wiggle out of it by saying its interpretation, etc. Proof of a God that isn't based on the Bible....it is the Bible that is problematic for me. The versions you are all reading and quoting probably aren't even close to what was in the original. It is very difficult to even translate a language today exactly, many mistakes are made...can you imagine back then?
Maybe I should ask my question this way: "What could God do to prove to You He is real and is who He says He is?
I'm really a sceptic in everything, so I need to see with my own eyes. I would have to have him whisper in my ear, I am God. I also would have to know I'm not suffering any mental problems that involve hearing voices.
And here is my body, side view. I was trying on stuff for Maui. Evidence of my tummy bulge that I hate.
@Chrissy Page , I know that your husband has been gone for many years, and he didn't get to have much time with your grandsons. But do you see any traits in the boys that you know they couldn't have picked up any way but through inheritance?
That's a great question @Ina I. Wonder Chrissy how very honest of you to say the first photo was photoshopped...to take out the wrinkles ...but you look great in the second photo anyway, so there was no need to edit IMO>..
@Ina I. Wonder , he only really met the oldest and he was 5 when my husband was already dying. The second oldest grandson was 6 months old when he did die, so although the oldest remembers him slightly, the next oldest of course has no memory of him. It does sadden me that he didn't get to see any of the three boys my son had. I do a see a love of guns in the 3 oldest boys, but that could be because they are boys. I see the mechanical ability and desire in the 12 year old. He's always getting the screwdriver and fixing things or putting them together. My husband was adventurous and so is the oldest, has no fear. The 3 younger ones are still too young and I don't see them that often, but all the boys love to hear the story of grandpa and his guns. My husband was also very social and I do see that in the oldest and in the oldest by my son, the 9 yr old.
