Well on Tuesday, my momentum and my get up and go, returned. The weather was on the mild side, so I decided to put our three string circus of solar powered white lights on the "small" Austrian pine in our front yard.......turned out it has grown a bit since we last met. Too big for the red & white bamboo "jump-ropes) garland....sooooo only the lights went up. I have left them turned off to allow a few days to charge up. I will turn them on tomorrow and will post a picture soon. I did add a 16" white lighted star above the 5 light candelabra in our front window. We are all set!
The lights on the outside tree were lit up last night, with interesting results. After charging a few days they were bright and stayed on all night. When I went out to take pictures, the shaky camera on zoom, made interesting light patterns. The headlights and tail lights of passing cars.....along with the bright moon, left interesting results. (Probably could have used more lights)
I found a neat "industrial" type lamp that I used to replace the old mason jar lantern in the front hall. I added a 15 watt amber led bulb.
The solar Christmas lights on the outside tree proving to be a disappointment. We have had no sunny days to charge them up. But I will try to grin and bear it....just chalk it up to the unpredictability of the weather.
The end of our Christmas Trek, is just over the horizon and approaching at Warp speed! Yesterday, in church we gave the acolytes their Christmas gift bags. The Service was beautiful! We had to up, and leave church early, as our daughter, granddaughters and grandchildren where stopping for a visit. It was decided the kids would open their gifts now. It was a great joy for us. Today is Christmas Eve! Fasten your seat belts.......
