I played the part of Lola in a family production of that musical. "Whatever Lola wants, Lola gets..."
Not exactly trivia, but I couldn't find a better place to put this. The American Civil War: Every Day Except for Georgia and the Carolina's with Sherman's march, beginning at the end of 1864, it seems that large parts of the east were relatively unaffected by actual fighting. Imagine the destruction if they had weapons like we had even in WW2, let alone now. Dark Blue = United States of America and territories Blue = Areas occupied by Union forces. Light blue = Gains for that day Maroon = Confederate States of America and territories Red = Areas occupied by Confederate forces Light red = Gains for that Day Yellow = Border states / disputed areas.
Yet when I ask you to go to Trivia with me, Mr. @Ken Anderson, you tell me you don’t know about trivia...
It's amazing to me that I was 2 years old when the last undisputed surviving member of the Union Army that served in the Civil War died in 1956 at the age of 106. Albert Woolson
@Ken Anderson Hip hop is passe: it is now "Rap", with it's sickening innuendos and vulgarity. Progress at it's finest! Frank
The battle of First Manassas in the US Civil War began in this man's back yard. He moved to get away from the war, and moved to Appomattox Court House, VA. The surrender of Lee to Grant was signed in this man's parlor.
Yes very nice.. Tom. I posted something similar a little while back!! It' amzing how colour just brings history into ''real life''...
I do not understand your statement that the Constitution has not been valid since Lincoln was in office. It lays out the laws of the very land we live in and hardly a cobbled together document to project a united front to Britain. I think you may be confusing this with the Declaration of Independence. Much thought and debate went into the forming of the Constitution between the Federalists and Anti-Federalists. I suggest you research all of this. It makes for eye opening reading.
Possibly for different reasons, this is one of the few things that Peter has ever said here that I agree with.
