And, in the Rodeo section of this forum, any of you can read about what we've done and are going to do while the National Finals Rodeo is going on in Las Vegas. It started last Thursday and goes to this coming Saturday. IOW, 10 days of rodeo action with a purse of 14 million dollars for the contestants. Vegas goes "all out" for this rodeo with all kinds of cowboy/cowgirl/rodeo/ranching things going on.
Of course the stands are full of fans watching. Many people enjoy watching animals suffer. It's an example of man's inhumanity & lack of respect for living beings. And the stands are also full of people who enjoy watching people suffer as well. But comparing animals being tortured & killed to dog shows or agility shows is utter nonsense.
Think what you want to! Your thoughts really don't bother any rodeo athlete, farmer, rancher or all of the hundreds of rodeo fans in America. We all simply ignore what people like you think.
Wow, we learned something this weekend, when my SIL (wife's older sister) and her daughter (our niece) were here. Having dinner on Saturday evening, me and the niece got to talking about my prostate "thing". Come to find out, her 62 year old husband has prostate cancer. First found out thru a blood PSA and thru a biopsy. Apparently, unlike me, he didn't have an MRI done. He has had five radiation treatments and in a month, his PSA level will be checked again. He also has something wrong with his gallbladder. I think I do as well, but won't know until I get a ultrasound done. For any pain/inflammation, him and our niece bought a WAVwatch. Since his radiation treatments are over, for now anyway, she is wearing the watch. I noticed it and asked about it. Anyone here know about this? We had never heard of it.
