Good for you Lon. I'm happy for your good retirement and hope you have many more happy years.

As for me, I've had some ups and downs like most people. I stayed on for 4 years teaching distance learning courses, retiring about the same time as you, at 67.
But I'm thankful to God every day, for the health of myself and wife, even though we have had some struggles the past 16 months, as 3 of my immediate family came down with Covid-19, but all are doing o.k. now.

Not been 20 since my lay off all I can comment on is the amount of fish caught is huge since then, met several good friends along the way and have to add the amounts of ammunition shot since is beyond belief, probably not even believable to most.
Between shooting and fishing I do stay very involved and busy .

Took SS Early Retirement in 2011, since I was having a terrible time finding a job in my career. So, at that time, wife and I decided to let me be "Hazel" (old tv show) of our apartment.

10 1/2 years in Jacksonville, FL., we done many things, but basically, nothing like what we did in Colorado for 5 1/2 years. While living in Jacksonville, we visited Sea World and their Waterpark, Disney World Star Wars, Tampa Bay/Hard Rock Casino and went to Key West.

Since being back here in Colorado, have enjoyed a professional rodeo and boating/fishing on local lake.

IOW, for me, it's been an enjoyable retirement, at least up until this darn pandemic thing hit. Then, the only thing we could really enjoy was boating/fishing. Although, this summer of 2021, have some nice rodeos to go to and a few other things to do (finally).
