Perhaps the monkeys need a good lobbyist aside from Peta in Washington, D.C.
Maybe AOC would be glad to take on that job.

Perhaps the good lobbyists in Washington DC are monkeys.

And PETA does what most activists do, except their tactic is even better.

Most activists self-appoint to take up the cause of others without being asked and with no real permisison.
PETA stands up for animals who cannot speak for themselves; therefore, the animals cannot tell PETA to go pound sand.

This seemed like a strange thing to me, because what is the difference between when we train a dog to herd/guard sheep or cattle, or training a monkey to climb a tree and pick coconuts ?
There is always a relationship between the trainer and the animal, regardless of whether it is a dog, a horse, a monkey, or some other animal that we train for some purpose to help us.

Quite by accident, I came across this video, which is a beautiful and heart-warming story of an old man and his beloved monkey, Bobo, who he trained to climb trees and pick coconuts.
It is interesting to watch him training Bobo, and you can see the love between the monkey and the man, and how she goes everywhere with him and even eats at the table with the man and his wife. The monkey is almost like part of the family, and not just an animal used for doing something the human can’t do himself.
