I eat out a lot when at my daughter's house but still order wisely. Also do a an Easter buffet that isn't cheap...$85 a person so I fill up on seafood and meat, not going to waste their money on mac and cheese. I do try save room for dessert and that's probably the only time I eat dessert out.
Wife and I were both fairly slim, when we first met. Of course, back then, I was participating in rodeo, country-western dancing sometimes and my full-time job was somewhat physical. Wife was both square dancing and country-western dancing quite a bit. We were pretty active back then. But, due to surgeries we both had, and where we lived, the square dancing stopped as well as the country-western dancing. We still have our "boating", but it's been too darn hot/humid to take it out lately. Not only that, we have to have the right "tide" times. Have found out that most boaters in Florida aren't in our age bracket aka Seniors. However, yesterday I was able to get my wife out of her recliner to play some Wii Games for an hour. That was fun, but when she went to bed, she had to take a Motrin for the pain she had in her legs and shoulders (standing and playing table tennis and tennis).
We found that out the last time we took our boat out (last month), but, then again, it was a hot afternoon. Physically, we can handle our boat, but when it's so hot and humid, that takes a toll on our bodies. As far as the Wii Game went, we both agreed that we should have played for 30 minutes, not an hour. Then, the next time we played, it could have been for an hour. Then, sometimes, depending on how much energy we have when we get home, we will take a walk around the apt. complex after we've eaten at the buffet.
