@Patsy Faye I'm sure you've heard of the psychological experiment where a lecturer made it look as though he had been shot and killed by an assailant. Most of his students when asked to describe the 'killer' were completely wrong. If someone at an event is often unable to give a true description of what happened, how can we?
@Patsy Faye , a character like the inverse of Sherlock Holmes, appears a bit daft, unable to get his wardrobe together, fairly modest, but in actual fact quite a smart cookie!
@Harry Kemp Ha ha yes - 2 very different characters Of course Holmes would do equally well at solving the case, would just take a little longer
@Patsy Faye I really like both, but they're a bit samey ... I wonder what the two together would be like!
@Harry Kemp Oh I'd love to see that ! I wonder if Columbo would get on Sherlocks nerves, just a bit .......... Sherlock liked to 'cogitate' and Columbo 'regurgitate' ........'aah - just one more thing' .............
@Patsy Faye, I'd love it as a comedy sketch: As a famous man once said, Columbo, Entitia non sunt esse multiplicanda, when you have eliminated the impossible, you are left with the solution, no matter how outré or implausible it may be. Sherlock, you gotta think out of the box here, coming up with these theories with so few facts and spending so little time interviewing is no way to solve a case ....
Sadly, the Princess was in part responsible for her own death, because if she had been wearing a seatbelt, odds are shet wouldn't have been so severely injured.. My understanding was the emergency system in France was not as good as other systems in the world, and she probably would have been saved had the accident happened in the US or maybe England or Germany. That was a sad time, and I felt really bad for her children. I cried about it, she was quite a beloved figure, maybe not to certain members of the royal family but to most of the world.
I am probably not going to be liked by some for saying this, but Lady Diana struck me as being very naive, too trusting and nice for her own good. At the time I had been taken advantage of and duped a few times and I had become more cynical and distrusting. She made me think of the younger version of me and I thought she would end up being cheated and abused.
Harry, you are absolutely correct in what you say I could have cried along with her, when she realised the 'truth' of it - she was there to produce babies and be quiet The first part she did, the second - she could not @Harry Kemp
Patsy, to be honest, I was amazed Charles got away with having a clandestine affair with Camilla and the apparent acceptance they receive now. If he becomes king, any time they play the national anthem will find me firmly on my backside! I have no respect for a man prepared to marry a woman to merely ensure the succession.
I know - its amazing just what they 'do' get away with and the patriotic are so forgiving aren't they ............. Truth is definitely stranger and more shocking than fiction
