    Nope!

There isn’t too much divorce in our family.

Not my parents, or grandparents or 3 siblings.

Only one divorce I recall and that was my uncle.

    Naw...mine just died.

I divorced, settled out of court, no money involved.

Then I played around for 3-1/2 years and remarried.

I'm now on my 2nd and final wife.:D

Divorced when I was eight. I stayed close to both of them, lived with my mom until I was eighteen, then off on my own. Saw both of them fairly frequently until I moved to Austin in '78. No problems, no emotional issues.

No problems with my two divorces. I'm still on good terms with both exes. I divorced them: When something is over, it's over. Move on........

Split up when I was 12 or so, but never formally divorced (nothing ever really got resolved.)
Father died of cancer maybe 8 years later.

Lots of destruction left in the wake of that relationship.
Things were never good between the two of them, or between them and their offspring, or among their offspring.

My parents split up when I was 6. I was sent to Indiana to live with an Aunt to age of 14, then was placed with a couple who were family (in some way). Never seen my mother or grandparents after moving to Indiana. Seen my dad twice, but since he was a major alcoholic, stayed away from him.

As my father was a drunkard and had spent all the savings, my/our mother would have had every reason in the world to get a divorce. For reasons unknown to me she didn't. Fortunately, he died aged 65 when I was 13 and my mother 52. For her the best part of her life started afterwards. Not getting divorced turned out to be a big advantage in 1990 because it entitled her to receive a widow's pension enabling her to lead a very decent life as a retiree.

We have a relative by marriage, She just hit 96 years old. Very traditional Italian. Her husband was in the construction trucking industry and if you know anything about up state NY,you know his backing was of a murky origin.
Any way Carm was very quiet meek almost a shadow. Jim died and wow, what a blossoming. A 90 year old 16 year old girl. I just cringe athow horrible her life must have been all those years
Total transformation into a bright vivacious woman.

No. My mother died. My dad remarried about ten years later, after all but one of his kids were out of the house.
