With my toe healing and my unstable legs and feet I can no longer walk even with my walker so I ordered a wheel chair via Amazon that will be delivered to me Thursday Oct 1.
@Lon Tanner On and off. Wife ordered one to wheel me about the casinos and restaurants, but it cannot be driven by me, wheels too small. Frank
No wheel chair yet, but my lower back pain is agonizing when I get up in the morning, but moderates to merely uncomfortable during the day. My wife gives me pain pills daily and applies a gel cream to my lower back, but these do not seem to alleviate the pain. I have a Velcro back brace, but it's inconvenient when I have to visit the bathroom several times during the day and night. I have an old cane that I've begun to use, but I see there are improvements in cane design these days... I've been doing so well physically up until this year, but Judy says I'll have the back pain for life. Hal, now feeling elderly at 84.
We bought a nice/comfortable wheelchair at the time I messed up my left foot. I was able to get around our Florida apartment better in the wheelchair than on crutches. We took the wheelchair with us, and took turns sitting in it, at the Star Wars Celebration Orlando in 2017. Kept the box and store it in our garage. Glad we have it, but have crutches and a cane as well.
No Ed Just got it this afternoon via Amazon and one of our maintenance guys assembled it for me in ten minutes. It's quite comfortable and easy to operate
